Customer Service Associate

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our patrons.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all safety program requirements of the company and government regulations
  • Willingness to be trained in a variety of workstations: grain buying, grain accounting, scale operations, feed mill customers service, forklift operations, and grain operations.
  • Be able to work in a team and independently and follow directions at various workstations
  • Properly identify the correct commodity, customer and delivery sheet for entry into the scale interface system
  • Properly weigh each scale ticket on every load delivered/shipped by the grain elevator
  • Accurately inspect and grade each grain sample, inbound and outbound, and enter correctly into the scale interface system
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge in scale tickets, grading and discounts, purchase contract dispositions and grain offer systems
  • Perform grain bookkeeping duties: issuing grain settlement checks and purchase grain contracts
  • Perform customer service at the feedmill counter, taking orders for bulk feed, helping customers load bagged feed and merchandise at the loading dock
  • Perform origination of grain in the office via phone calls, customer walk-ins, and buying FOB farm bushels
  • Perform on farm site visits to meet with customers about buying/selling grain or feed business as needed
  • Will be required to work overtime hours especially during harvest receiving hours and train loading
  • Be trained to assist with operations duties as need (grain scales, forklift, assist with grain blends, rail load out, truck loadouts, unloading grain trucks, trucking)
  • Maintain neat and professional work area and keep equipment in safe and clean condition at all times
  • Address customer complaints and resolve them promptly
  • Must have excellent customer relation skills
  • The Customer Service Associate will maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the cooperative and a favorable image of the company.

 

Grain Operator/CDL Driver

Class A CDL required (or must be willing to pursue one, employer willing to assist with CDL training & financial responsibility).

The Grain Operator position involves loading and unloading of trucks and rail cars for the elevator, grain handling, safety and maintenance, and customer service.

Primary duties include:

  • Tends conveyors and routes grain from unloading pit to elevator via computer
  • Performs operations to keep facility running properly such as loading/unloading trucks/rail cars
  • Filling ground piles and transferring
  • Provide a high level of customer service
  • Help maintain the general appearance of the facility and preventative maintenance procedures
  • Monitor equipment to ensure its in good working order, participate in the overall maintenance of facility and equipment
  • Will be required to work overtime hours especially during harvest receiving hours
  • Assist in making inspections of stored grain
  • Blend all grains as necessary when shipping out
  • Drive tractor-trailer combination to transport and delivery grain to various destinations
